FSJ / BFD

Voluntary social year or federal voluntary service

Because we depend on support in many places in our work, we can regularly offer places for a voluntary social year (FSJ) and the Federal Volunteer Service (BFD).

Usually, every FSJ / BFD worker is assigned to a fixed class as a class helper. Areas of responsibility are:

- the accompaniment and support of severely disabled pupils in everyday life Activities during the school day

- Help with eating, washing and using the toilet or changing diapers as required

- the accompaniment and support of individual (mostly severely disabled) students in the classes

- Participation in everyday school and class life

In addition to the class helpers, there are individual integration helpers for individual students who need a lot of support or supervision.

Before making a final decision, it is important to us that every interested party can gain an impression of the possible location and the expected activities by sitting in on a class and talking to current class helpers.

pre-condition for an FSJ or a BFD at our school is of legal age.

interested persons feel free to contact us at any time - ideally by phone (Monday to Friday between 7.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m.) or by email. We will then make an appointment to get to know each other.

Contact persons sind Frau Sigges (s.sigges@157650.nrw.schule)  und Frau Danisch (b.danisch@157650.nrw.schule)

The FSJ / BFD is employed and coordinated by the German Red Cross in Unna.

FSJ staff can also be school attendants for individual students. The route for applicants also leads through the DRK district association in Unna.
